Nicki's first known appearance on television was on episode 24 of the 4th season of Weird Science, which aired June 29th, 1996. Her first known appearance in film was in Double Tap, released on September 5th, 1997. Nicki was active in theatre in high school, and enrolled in the film program at the University of Oklahoma, where she produced her own student films. Once she made the decision to be an actress, she left for Los Angeles and has been slowing working her way up the acting ladder ever since. Though Nicki enjoys acting for television, she prefers film because it's slower paced and not as rushed. She has more time, with film, to form stronger relationships with her co-stars. After wrapping her seven-week shoot of Rave Macbeth in 2000, Nicki lived in Munich, Germany for several months, where she had made a lot of friends both on and off set. Because of her role in 1999's Cruel Justice, Nicki has become sensitive to the issue of rape, especially in the teenage and high school environment. She feels it's important to use the gifts her acting career gives her to help others. She also doesn't under- or over-estimate the influence she may have on the people who watch the films and television series she involves herself with. She treats her responsibility as an actress with dignity, realism, and respect.
