Ambrose Island Services
| Family Clinic- It's definitely a small clinic, but there are three doctors on staff who share patients and see people during business hours on weekdays. The only ambulance on the island also parks here, and it's on call 24/7 for emergencies. Serious injuries or illnesses do require transfer to the mainland hospital, but the clinic is here for everything else. Relevant Staff: TBA |

| Island Birth Center- For women who don't want to go through the hassle of traveling to the mainland to have their babies, Island Birth Center is the alternative. Attached to the midwife's home so she is always available, the Birth Center is equipped to help every healthy woman give birth in ease and comfort. Little Hands and Feet Daycare- Run by a local woman out of her home, this day care is very respected in the community. It isn't run just like a glorified babysitting service, but more like a pre-school, where kids learn as they play. Children love going there. Relevant Staff: TBA |
| Ambrose Island Elementary School- Serving Kindergarten to Grade 5, Ambrose Island Elementary School has a population of just under 600 students with roughly equal distribution throughout the grades. Relevant Staff: TBA |

| Ambrose Island High School & Community Center- Serving Grades 9-12, Ambrose Island High School has a population of just over 400 students with roughly equal distribution throughout the grades. Island Police- Crime is rare on Ambrose Island, so mostly the police handle small disputes between citizens and give out the occasional speeding ticket. Relevant Staff: TBA |
| Island Fire Department- Staffed with volunteer fire fighters, the whole community appreciates the presence of these men and women who attend to forest fires, house fires, car accidents, and other emergencies. Relevant Staff: TBA |

Island Humane Society- The Human Society's main focus is to rescue lost or abandoned pets and find them loving homes. For a small fee citizens can adopt animals that have been given all appropriate shots, and that are spayed or neutered. A veterinarian comes in once a week for a drop-in clinic. Relevant Staff: TBA |
| Island Stables- Owned and operated by a local family that lives on the biggest property on Ambrose, they make their living through their land and their horses. They teach riding lessons and act as guides on trail rides, and they also board horses for citizens of the island who don't have so much propery. Saint Peter of the Rock- The only Catholic Church in town, the priest is always ready to lend an ear to his parishioners in their times of need. Relevant Staff: TBA |

Temple Beth Israel- Ambrose Island isn't just populated with Christians- this temple serves the Jewish community on the island. Relevant Staff: TBA |
| Ambrose Island Ferry- This is the only connection to the mainland and the boat takes both foot passengers and a maximum of fifty cars. It's a 20-minute ferry ride and departs daily, every thirty minutes between 6:00am and 8:00pm and every hour between 8:00pm and 12:00am. Relevant Staff: TBA |

Ambrose Island Community Bus- There's actually four of them, but they run on the same route around the entire island, starting at the ferry terminal and completing the circuit before starting over again. Buses run every half hour, so don't be late! Relevant Staff: TBA |
| Ambrose Island City Hall- This building contains the mayor's office as well as the offices of other government and civil officials. Come here to pay your heating, water, and electricity bills as well as to voice your feelings on any municipal policy and to vote in various elections. Relevant Staff: TBA |

Ambrose Island Post Office- It was a difficult decade in the community's early days when everyone had to go to the mainland to send a letter, but no longer. Incoming mail is distrubted to homes and outgoing mail is put on the ferry every weekday. Relevant Staff: TBA |

Tom's Garage & Quick Stop- Owned by Tomas Owens, it may not look like much but he's built this business from the ground up. Here you'll find the only gas station in town and attached, his pride and joy: an extremely successful auto shop. If there's a car on Ambrose Island with any kind of custom work, interior or exterior, it's been done by Tom and his boys. With a large family of children at his disposal, he never has a shortage of forced labor, but he also employs a few local high school guys who need to make some extra cash. | Ambrose Island Library- This library is on the small side, but they're connected to the California State Library so they can request books from all around the state. They also have five computers with internet access that people can use for research, homework, or pleasure. Relevant Staff: TBA |
