Ambrose Island Park- Whether you need a safe place to turn your kids loose, take your dog for a walk, or you just want to enjoy strolling through greenery on a nice day, Ambrose Island Park provides a calm, clean area for you to relax and unwind. Volunteers make sure the park is litter-free and the playground equipment is maintained. There's also a pond with ducks and goldfish, so bring a picnic basket and make a day of it at one of the tables or on the grass. |
| Centenniel Lighthouse- Located on Lighthouse Island, off the southwestern tip of Tumultuous Bay, this pillar of light keeps ships from crashing into Ambrose Island. There is a quarter mile of beach surrounding the lighthouse and some teenagers like to take boats and party over there, much to the dismay of the lighthouse keeper, an elderly gentleman who keeps spry by chasing them off. Harmony Ruins- Located on the mostly undeveloped Eastern side of the island, the stone framework of an old church and the foundations of several buildings still stand as testament to Ambrose Island's past. Once the site of Harmony Leper Colony, perhaps it's the ghost stories that keep residents from building on this side of the island. |
| Helena Morrison Memorial Lighthouse- Located less than a quarter mile off the southeastern tip of the island, when the tide is out the lighthouse is perched on a few scraggly rocks; when the tide is in, it's connected to the South Ridge shore. This lighthouse is unmanned and the light is regulated electronically by the keeper on Lighthouse Island. |

Whisper Lake- The pristine, tranquil lake is a popular spot to relax. It's located in the northwest corner of the island, just off the residental neighborhood of Whisper Harbor. A creek flows from the lake and splits, one branch emptying into the Pacific while the other meanders toward Hidden Cove. Like at the park, volunteers in the community make sure the lakeshore is kept clean and litter-free. |
| Wreck Cove Beaches- Perhaps the greatest boone to Ambrose Island's tourist industry is the long sandy beaches that span much of the northern coastline. With plenty of public access points and a limited number of commercial industries, it's easy to sit back and relax or go for a swim. |
