-Character Details-

Appearance: Genetics run strong in the Hadden family, so despite both Samuel and his twin brother Matthew being fraternal twins, there are still strong similarities between the two. He stands 6’1 and is rather slender with some muscle tone from the sports he enjoys playing. He is smaller then most of the other guys on the basketball team, but he still has the strength and agility to hold his own. He has shaggy black hair (that he wont cut too annoy his grandfather), a strong jaw and green eyes that make him quite a looker. He has a much more softer ‘boy next door’ look then his brother who tends to look continually brooding for no reason. He doesn’t have any scars, tattoos or piercings (partly as his parents and grandfather would kill him if he did).

Persona: Drew Fuller

Personality: Sam is the sort of person that all parents wish their daughters would bring him. He was brought up to respect women, and treats them accordingly. He often opens the door for women, stands up when they leave the table and never speaks derogatory about them. Samuel is a smart guy with a good sense of humour who seems to take most things in his stride. He’s very friendly and happy to talk too anyone (in part due to being an army kid and having moved around), easily able too keep conversations going with most people. He doesn’t drink much, and never swears which causes him to be seen as a ‘good boy’, but he doesn’t care as he likes who he is and if people don’t like him that’s their problem and not his.

History: Jack Sutter wanted nothing more then to have a son to follow in his footsteps and join the army fresh from high school as he did. Things didn’t go as planned though, when he and his wife Brenda had three daughters; twins Kelly and Debra and youngest Noelle. All three girls breathed the army life, so it was only natural for two of them (Kelly and Debra) to marry men who were in the army, the third (Noelle), enlisting herself. Debra and her husband Malcolm moved to Virginia where he was posted, and quickly found they were expecting with their first child. With twins running on Debra’s side of the family, it was little shock when the couple found that they were expecting fraternal twin boys.

They hoped that the twins would be born naturally, but despite Sam being in position to be born, Matt was blocking the way and not in position. Matthew and Samuel were born via caesarean, Matt first at 7:24am on May 19th, and Sam twenty-two seconds later. Growing up, the boys were always close but unlike most sets of twins who parents loved to dress alike, both boys were allowed to pick their own clothes from an early age letting there different personalities grow. But still one thing that both boys were taught were their manners and to be gentlemen, so despite growing up on an army base surrounded by strong male role models both of the twins learnt how to treat a lady properly.

Over the years as was required the family moved depending on where Malcolm was transferred. They moved to Florida when the twins were six, South Carolina when they were nine before back to Virginia when they were thirteen. With Sam being an open and friendly person, he was easily able too make new friends as they moved around. After Jack suffered a heart attack during the twins sophomore year at high, and with Brenda having already passed on Brenda decided that for her fathers health it was best that she move in with him to make sure he took care of himself. Jack and Brenda had both moved to Ambrose Island after they retired, so during the summer the family moved to Ambrose.

It was just over a year ago that the family moved there, Sam and Matt both starting their Junior year of high school on the island. As usual, Sam was easily able to settle in, and make friends with the other students. There have been two larger differences between this move and previous moves, those two differences being Jack and Malcolm. Jack obviously loves his grandchildren, but he’s been subtly trying to guide both the twins to join the army after graduation. Sam realised what he was doing though, and has no intention of enlisting, he believes in peace and not fighting to get peace and wants to go to University. Matthew though seems to be listening to his granddad’s ideas. The second big change, was that just two months ago Malcolm was sent to Iraq, and isn’t due back until February.

It’s just Jack, Debra and the twins in the house and Jack’s subtle hints have started to become not so subtle, often hinting that the boys should get a haircut. It’s caused some strain between Jack and Debra’s relationship, as she believes that both Samuel and Matthew are her children, and should be able to choose what they want to do in life, and not be guided by other people’s wants. Sam feels the same way and has no intentions of joining the army, as he wants to get into a career in journalism or something similar.
