Persona: Danneel Harris
Personality: There are three sides of Rachel Morrison: the popular bitchy girl who throws the best parties, the devoutly loyal friend, and the girl with more shadows in her life than she wants to share. No one knows her as all three, the closest anyone gets is the bitchy cheerleader and the loyal friend which somehow she balances quiet well, she keeps herself protected emotionally by cutting herself off from emotionally vulnerable situations. Those who don't know her and who aren't close with her would think that she'd gladly sell them down the river for herself, and most of the time it's fairly true; but for those Rachel cares for she's very selfless around them.

History: Being the elder of the Morrison siblings, Lilah had an issue of being perfect for her parents. Her father was physically abusive and her mother emotionally. She dreamed of leaving the island and everything behind. She went to college, but her grades were not good enough to get her anywhere out of state so she ended up less than an hour from home.
While at college, Lilah met a man named Jacob and the two began to date despite the fact he was a TA in her finance class. She quickly found herself pregnant and Jacob did the honorable thing and married her, Lilah converted to Judaism for him and the two really seemed like they wanted to make it work. Rachel was a complicated pregnancy and birth and during her pregnancy Jacob was also trying to work on his PhD so he could become a professor. Rachel was born and was fully healthy and despite his busy hours, Jacob absolutely adored his daughter.
Lilah grew a bit jealous of the fact that Jacob seemed more devoted to the child than he did to her. Lilah's resentment of her daughter started and since then has continued to grow. Lilah was obsessed with trying to get Jacob's attention, not seeing how much he was trying to give. He'd moved off campus for her, living at one of the family houses over an hour and a half from where he went to school. She tried to get pregnant, to have the attention fall back on her but it was not in the cards.
Jacob was also feeling pressure from school and his wife's now obsessive behavior was too much for him and he asked for a seperation. After a few months he came back and she was torn between being clingy and distant and just before Rachel's second birthday he divorced.
Despite his vows to be a good father, he eventually remarried and had children with his new wife and he saw Rachel less and less, sending money and cards on birthdays and holidays and coming out of nowhere to pay for her bat mitzva.
After his departure Lilah started to spend more time with her daughter, still resenting her for destroying her chance at moving beyond the island but trying to be a mother.
When Rachel was six, Alexa moved to town and the two grew up like sisters. Rachel finally felt something that wasn't bitter or superficial but their kinship was shortlived because one day Alexa just changed and the two drifted.
In school, Rachel did well without trying and was popular and well liked. Her mother continued to ride her, being condesending and emotionally controlling at every turn. It grew into a need to feel loved which lead Rachel into sexual realtionships shortly after her thirteenth birthday. Even if they didn't last, she felt loved and appreciated.
Since high school, she's become one of the most popular girls in school. She and Alexa have finally started to get their relationship back on track when Alexa became a cheerleader, the two are close once again but there's still huge spaces of silence between them. Rachel's made it her goal to get Alexa to live. Delilah has made it her goal to find herself a new, rich husband and leave the island or make sure that her daughter does well and gets herself a rich husband... but not too rich.
